Plectroglyphidodon territory


Plectroglyphidodon lacrymatus, the jewel damselfish, is also common in Guam. The greenish-iridescent masses are the diatom Chrysanthemodiscus floriatus, the smaller dark brown masses are colonies of Biddulphiopsis membranacea. Image 2031.
