Climacosphenias on Polysiphonia

Climacosphenia moniligera Ehrenberg (shorter, curved) and C. elongata Bailey (longer, straight) epiphytic on antheridial Polysiphonia. What seems to be an "eye" is the nucleus associated with denser plastid concentrations. Image 8119.
